A Workday Systems Analyst specializing in Payroll is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the Workday Payroll module. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support payroll operations through system enhancements and issue resolution. This position reports to the Business Applications Manager and supports the ongoing Workday project, with potential for full-time employment upon project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Configuration & Support: Configure and maintain the Workday Payroll module, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot payroll-related system issues and implement solutions.
- Business Process Optimization: Collaborate with payroll stakeholders to enhance payroll processes, streamline workflows, and leverage automation.
- Data Management & Reporting: Ensure data accuracy within the payroll system, support payroll audits, and develop custom reports to meet business needs.
- Testing & Issue Resolution: Conduct system testing for Workday updates, troubleshoot payroll discrepancies, and coordinate with Workday support as needed.
- User Support & Training: Assist payroll teams with Workday inquiries, develop training materials, and provide guidance on best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience working with Workday Payroll module.
- Participation in at least one full Workday implementation or major system enhancement.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with payroll teams and IT stakeholders.
- Experience with payroll reporting and system integrations.
- Strong knowledge of Workday Payroll and related modules such as Time Tracking and Advanced Compensation.
