New Epic Implementation
The Epic Conversion Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the conversion of data and processes from legacy systems to the Epic electronic health record (EHR) platform. This role is critical for ensuring a smooth transition that maintains data integrity and enhances operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare project management, a strong understanding of data migration processes, and expertise in Epic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of Epic conversion projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, adherence to timelines, and effective budget management.
- Data Migration Oversight: Lead efforts to assess, map, and migrate data from legacy systems to Epic, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with clinical teams, IT staff, and external vendors to gather requirements, identify data needs, and resolve issues throughout the conversion process.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to validate converted data, ensuring it meets clinical and operational needs before go-live.
- Training and Change Management: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users, ensuring staff are prepared to use the new Epic system effectively.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and addressing any concerns.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and minimize disruption to operations.
- Post-Conversion Support: Monitor the system after go-live to address any data issues, provide ongoing support, and implement improvements based on user feedback.
